Victoria Hills Golf Club Selected as 2008 Tournament Site

Victoria Hills Golf Club- the award winning Ron Garl course in Victoria Park, Deland, has been selected to host the first Annual BMR Golf Classic to be held on October 24, 2008.
In selecting Victoria Hills, Paul De Silva, President of BMR, Inc. sited the championship caliber course as one of the best and most challenging golf courses in Florida, it’s location and commitment to conditioning as well as the state-of-the-art practice facility, featuring a double-sided driving range, short game area and true-to-form putting green.
Victoria Hills has hosted a number of high-profile events since opening in 2001, including a U.S. Senior Open Qualifier, The Stetson University Invitational, Atlanta Sun Conference Championship and most recently the USGA’s U.S. Open Qualifier.

Building Industry Networking Golf Event with a Competitive Edge

Builders Marketing Resource is producing the Annual BMR/Stock Golf Classic on October 24, 2008, at Victoria Hills Golf Club in Deland, Fl. The promotional golfing event was designed to bring Builders, Suppliers, Subs and Industry professionals together to Network in a "PGA Style" Fun but Competitive Golf Tournament.
The single day event consists of Seventy-Two (72), Two-Player Builder Teams competing for the Championship Crystal Bowl and $3,000.00 in Prize Money. Atleast One Player on each Team must be employed by the Building Company. No professional players are eligible to participate although Subs & Vendors can play on a Builder's Team. Scoring is based on a handicap index or the Callaway system. Opposing Team keeps score. Stock Building Supply is the Title Sponsor for this year's event, with Ferguson, Jacuzzi, Jeld-Wen and BMR, Inc. as Presenting Sponsors. Team Entry Fees are $300 (or $150 per player). Teams can enter by dowloading the Registration Form or contacting Builders Marketing Resource at: (386)668-0046.
In addition to the opportunity to "win the big bucks" and bragging rights as "the Best 2008 Builder Golf Team", each player will receive the an Official Tournament Golf Shirt/Golf Cap, Goodie Bag and a Sirloin Steak/Chicken Awards Banquet Luncheon.
Victoria Hills is an 18-hole, par 72 course, rated as one of the Top Ten Golf Courses in Florida by Golf Magazine. Designed by Ron Garl, the current course record is held by PGA professional Joe Demarco with a score of 65.
